A horse totem mask which I just finished for a customer.
It fits a little large on my face, so the eyeholes are sitting a bit low on me.

The face of the mask is cast resin, the ears were sculpted on with ClayShay. The hair is synthetic weave hair. Everything's been painted with acrylics.

Wow, that's a great looking mask! Very well shaped and very realistic. Hmm, are resin masks heavy?

Your work is just amazing!

the resin gives it a slight shine, making it seem ethereal and otherworldly; certainly does seem spiritual. Very nice work!
:iconqarrezel:
Hehe, well, I imagine the shine is more from the satin varnish. I could have given it a matte varnish, so it wouldn't have seemed so shiny. Thanks, though, I'm glad you like it!

Thanks! The resin is not heavy at all, in fact it helps to reduce the weight of my masks.

All of my masks are resin, even the ones with fur. This one is pretty much the same sort of mask, but without fur on it, making it even lighter than my fur masks. I picked this one up and barely realized I was holding it.

The resin is cast in a thin shell, which remains strong while being incredibly lightweight.

Thanks sugar lumpy face

I think the shine kind of adds to it, in a way. It really grabs attention. Being a collector of masks myself, I think it's perfect.
