The mask is cast resin, and the jaw moves. I used faux fur (which I custom dyed) instead of kanekalon this time, and it worked nicely. The long braid on the back of the mask is still kanekalon, actually. It's difficult to tell in these photos because they were taken at a high angle, but the feet are slightly stilted, and I'm standing on my toes while wearing them. Also, my camera has this slight fisheye effect, making the mask look a little bigger than it actually is.
I had a bit of a disaster with my pawpad mold (the pads are cast latex), so my second casting run came out looking ugly. I'm going to live with it, as this costume isn't going to a client. Oh, and I took some anatomical liberties, I suppose - the eyes are all wrong for a tiger, but I like them, so they stay. The nose is too dark, too.
I will take more photos of this costume, and post them here.

I find this work oddly menacing because of the way the formal post-modern iconicity and the disjunctive perturbation of the painterly biomorphic neo-tribal gestures spatially undermine the subtle yet distinctive Magrittian semiotic juxtapositioning.
I'd love to play with movies, but I'm still working on that whole owning a video camera thing. As far as taking photos while interacting with people, well, I think I just need to interact with more people.
