Artist's Comments

A white stag costume which I made for someone's short film (and for myself, since I get to keep it).

It does have the capacity for a moving jaw, but the mechanism broke sometime in the wee hours (I had to stay up all night in order to finish this for filming), so it's temporarily a static jaw.

ANOTHER PHOTO! [link]

Mask - resin, glass taxidermy eyes, resin reproduction antlers (altered), silk, faux fur
Bodysuit is faux fur
Gloves are faux fur with weird little sculpey fingernails
Hooves are rubber and resin

This costume will not be dulpicated! Similar designsc an be made, but this exact design can not be reproduced.

Wow, I can't believe I got a DD on this! Thanks so much, everyone!

Since there's been more attention, I know a lot more people are wondering about the student film in which this costume was featured. I'm sorry to say that the creator of that film has been experiencing some very serious medical issues, and may not ever get a chance to complete the film.
I'll try to make it up to you guys when I get a video camera ;)

The White Stag by ~Qarrezel. "One example of wonderful work coming from a most talented costume creator. It reads on the artist's comments that it was created for a short film and looking at this costume it makes me remember good old fantasy movies where the magic was literally on the hands of the film creators. I would like to see that short film, in the meantime it is nice to enjoy Qarrezel's gallery. I hope you agree and visit her gallery, you won't regret it." Omg! This is absolutely, breathtaking!!!
I love the colour of the cloth as well, it fits the white and the metal of the belt quite nicely

I have no reserves in saying this your best piece yet. Very well done.

wow, VERY nice job! This is one of highest quality animal costumes I have ever seen. I love how slim and natural the limbs look, like they fit RIGHT to the skin. It makes it look all the more realistic, unlike the chunky arms or legs of other costumes you see. You know what's incredibly bizarre, is that I used to have that exact same brassy looking belt you used for the loincloth! XD I don't remember where I got mine, a costume shop or thrift store maybe.

It is...beautiful :omfg:

Turned out beautifully, reguardless of the articulated jaw or not. Really great shape it has, and I love the work you did with the hooves. They look so natural and perfect. I hate when things fall apart at the last minute. I had a centaur suit with working back legs, but the lines broke the day of its actual use >m<

To be completely honest, the whole fursuit (or whatever they're actually called) scene really isn't my thing. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it, it just what I'm into.
But this is just a really awesome costume. Great job on it. Also, I can't imagine how sweet it would be to see it with a moving jaw.
